We are seeking a Outside Sales Representative in the top growing industry, Transportation! Join our team if you are hungry to grow your own book of business with residual monthly commissions. You will prospect to generate new business and offer solutions to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop potential customers (Outside & Inside)
- Make calls to establish relationships and build your book of business from the ground up
- Sell and close new and existing customers to move their freight
- Negotiate price with shippers and carriers
- Manage daily shipments, resolving issues, to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
- Be honest and proactive in all your communications – internally and externally
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, but we have successful sales representatives without one
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields, but we have top sales representatives with diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict
- Deadline and detail-oriented
